Re: HTC Quick GPS CAB

It downloads seven days of GPS position data. This data enables the GPS to quickly determine its position. I usually get a 15 second fix with this updated data. The GPS no longer has to try to figure out its current position which on a cold start can take several minutes.

Re: HTC Quick GPS CAB

Can't seem to get this to work on my Sprint Touch Pro with the VZW Rom.

The file 'QuickGPS.exe' cannot be opened. Either it is not signed with a trusted certificate, or one of its components cannot be found. If the problem persists, try reinstalling or restoring this file.

I get this error after installing the cab and trying to run QuickGPS through the programs menu. I tried copying the other QuickGPS.exe to Windows folder on PPC but I still get the same error.

There was a Quickgps.reg file in the zip.... does that need to go somewhere/imported into the PPC registry?

I get the exact same error on the leaked VZW Touch Pro ROM as well. The Quickgps.reg file doesn't make it work either. Hmm...

Must not work with our ROM, I dunno.

I keep getting a pop up box every few seconds too so I had to uninstall it completely.

Re: HTC Quick GPS CAB

Yeah, this sucks. Oh well, once they get the unlocker working for the Verizon Touch Pro, I'm sure this will be able to be cooked into new ROMs. I believe NexVision has a working version of the unlocker!

Re: HTC Quick GPS CAB

I installed this on my Sprint 6900. When I open quickgps & it needs to download latest info. I click download (while syncd to pc) & it cannot connect. I use usb & allow data connections. What am I doing wrong that keeps it from connecting?
