Re: HTC Quick GPS CAB

I've used this on my sprint touch with the modified .exe and reg edits. It works except it doesn't like to run very long in the background which means it wont be able to automatically update or notify when the satellite positions are out of date.

Re: HTC Quick GPS CAB

I've sucessfully installed it and it did very little to nothing to speed up GPS lock - I downlaoded the GPS position data using Quick GPS (so it obviously worked) yet Google Maps sat there for minutes (as per usual) looking for GPS satellites.. Coudl it be that Quick GPS is snake oil and HTC are having a laugh?

Re: HTC Quick GPS CAB

I installed QuickGPS and it did nothing at all...luckily it did not mess up my Touch 6900.

Re: HTC Quick GPS CAB

I can verify that QuickGPS is a great program. I had it on my HTC Touch Pro under Alltel, before they were bought out by Verizon. When my phone died, the only replacement they had was the Touch Diamond. Sadly, Verizon does not like to let people use third-party programs. I'm attempting the certs suggestion from above as we speak, but I can verify that when it does work as intended, the program is wonderful and makes getting a satellite quite a pleasure.

Re: HTC Quick GPS CAB

I went through the whole process of downloading both cabs and installing quickgps on my touch pro 2, but I get a "Connection failed. Please try again." message. So frustrating.

QuickGPS will NOT connect on my 6900 - HELP!

First, let me say i'm very happy to have GPS on the 6900. Works great from warm/hot starts but, can take FOREVER with cold starts. I thought QuickGPS was my savior but, apparently it's my enemy on the 6900.

Have the HTC Vouge 6900 with custom ROM. Downloaded and installed lllboredlll's cabs and certs but, it will NOT connect. I know that the satellite almanac positioning is critical to getting fast locks.

Is there any other way to get this information or a way to get the QuickGPS working on the 6900?
