Posting about new Rom Update

People in the future if you have spoken to a Sprint Tech about the potential release date of the Rom for the Touch ...please get their name or possibly contact number because this is getting freaking rediculous with so many dates being flown around....if they don't know they need to say I don't know or check with a senior person who DOES know and then get back to us. I just basically want to call Sprint and speak to a senior person and just say "Joe Blow" mentioned that release date will be June 20th and maybe they can educate Joe Blow in the future!!!!!

What are you so desiring from the new ROM? I'm using the Alltel w/GPS etc and I'm thinking I'm in good shape. I guess I don't have all of the Sprint customizations but does that really matter?

I'm curious if sprint even cares what their CSRs say to customers anymore. Heck, the higher ups probably don't even know when the rev. A update rom will be released. As far as I'm concerned, all they're doing now is just trying to make the customer hang up happy, only to be dissappointed at a later date that they undoubtedly make up. I'd be surprised if there were any reprecussions for making up a date, but I'll get names the next little chat I have with them anyways.

The new rom is already out!

Well, not the one for the touch. I just spent most of the day porting over the sys from the new Diamond and getting the new apps I wanted. Most everything we will probably get was in the leaked 3.02 rom. Just watch the Vogue -> Vogue Upgrades forum. The folks here stay on top of the latest releases!

I bet what I did today will make me much happier than the next official release will. I've gps, rev-a, programs I want, no programs I don't want...htc home - gone...

Around 90% of all Sprint Tech Support is from a out-sourced company called Alorica Inc. in Tulsa, OK. Everything except for SERO(employee) account support and Tier 2 support. I worked for this company for 2 years. I trained most of the Agents there. Any dates you get from any Agent is false. They are only office rumors. TRUST ME!!! The only people that know when the ROM update will come out is the people that wrote it. They will not release a date, then they would be tied to it. It sucks but what-ya-gunna-do. Just install custom ROM or wait till the update comes out....SOME DAY!!!
