yea, it needs to be primed though. I currently have a solution that's less than ideal, i just keep gpsviewer running in the background. It needs manual startup everytime i soft reset, but hey, better than nothing

I wonder if this is neccessary after the new official ROM came out yesterday. I will install WIMP on my newly flashed Touch and report back.

i'm curious of that as well, i ran the official ROM for about 5 min yesterday, i was getting better gps locks without it so came back. didn't stick to it long enough to notice whether the gps needed to be primed or if any of these softwares would work

vito find me worked fine on my touch. I never needed to prime the gps or anything.

I just installed it, soft resetted it and it was good.

I set it up to do an email in addition to text because it was the only one that would send updates to email.

I use it all the time now. It's part of the gps tracking system I put on my bike.
