VOGUE only: Average Number of GPS Satellite Locks?

I'm getting good and regular lock times with my current configuration but was wondering what other people have in terms of the typical number of satellite locks?

Please indicate your carrier and location. Thanks.

For me, average is 5 - Bell Mobility, Toronto, Canada.

Verizon and I'm getting typically 4 or 5 according to GPS Today.

1-3 is rather unnecessary as a gps can't figure out your location without at least 4 satellites locked

I have sprint and I get 9 locks in about 15 seconds.

I'm in Southern California about 20mi NW of Los Angeles and I get 8-12 satellites in use in under 10 seconds. ::OOPS, IT SAID VOGUE USERS, MY BAD!!::

Does it really matter what carrier we're with? GPS isn't related to your cellular connection. Location would seem to be more important.

Was more after the phone config with that request. For example, there are a lot of people on Sprint who swear by the PRI update fixing their GPS and giving them better GPS reception. I updated to the Sprint PRI (Bell) and am about the same.

I'm with Sprint in Southern Minnesota and usually get ~9 sats.

sprint in detroit-ish michigan and im averagine 9-10
