Re: Known Verizon Issue with cracked outer casing

Its a refurb not new, but it looks new. I would get vzw to replace it within their one year window if for no other reason that to make them.

Re: Known Verizon Issue with cracked outer casing

Have you tried the Samsung Omnia yet, it's pretty sweet. Do you run Wisbar Advance on your 6900, it's a bit better that the HTC home screen, a lot more options, you can add as many pages as you want. If not check it out. How about a program called PDA Net, you can connect to a computer or laptop and run Internet from your phone to your Com. or laptop. A one time fee of 35.00 for life, does not use your minutes. Verizon has tethering which does the same thing, BUT you pay for it monthly. You may already know about it, if not check it out. I have the link if you like

Re: Known Verizon Issue with cracked outer casing

I've had the same problem with my Alltel version of the vogue which I guess is the same exact thing, but the crack is on the opposite site of the phone.

Re: Known Verizon Issue with cracked outer casing

Has anybody tried the housings from ebay? just search for htc vogue housing with description search, and you'll get a whole bunch of distributors...
I need a new digitizer for mine, and I hate the ugly white finish, so I'm going for red...

But I want to know if it is rubberized like the bell and sprint phones, or hard plastic like the vercrapon white that I have now...

I ended up ordering one from here: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...m=320336337544
it is a rubberized red housing and comes with the digitizer already installed so you don't have to worry about glue... It says alltel on it, but that doesn't bother me
Since it came from a returned alltel touch, it will definitely fit.
I'll post a couple pictures once it arrives

I just ordered a red housing from Hong Kong, same price ,with digitizer also
( Not Attached tho) I looked all over ebay to find one from US, but all i saw was Hong Kong, should have look back here. Hope it doesn't take to long to get here. I've never ordered anything from overseas.
I have had mine apart from the housing, its pretty easy to do, not to technical, let me know how it goes.

Re: Known Verizon Issue with cracked outer casing

Tony, I hope you ordered the one that mentions "CDMA", I think the gsm housings are different... I didn't notice at first but if you look at the pictures on ebay, the cover above the camera to blockout for an external antenna, on your phone it is offset slightly to one side, on the GSM housings it is directly vertical above it.

I emailed a hong kong seller (because the CDMA housing auction showed GSM pictures) before I found the one in Jersey, and she said to trust them that if the auction mentions the CDMA housing it will be for CDMA not GSM.

Vilord
The housing you ordered also says p3450, thats the same one i ordered , but your right mine is offset, and the one i ordered is straight above. This one I ordered, Looks to be the wrong one.
