Re: 2400 mAh Extended Battery- $11.99

Just a heads up, I ordered the OEM Extended battery case from the Telus Website. The color does not match up exactly with my Bell version. The Telus cover is black, but other then that it fits perfect.

If memory serves correctly, you may be one of the first people to have confirmed receipt of their order. A couple of folks in this thread had ordered the item and then received a cancellation.

Re: 2400 mAh Extended Battery- $11.99

I bought the eBay cover mentioned a few messages up and it fits my Sprint Touch perfectly with the $12 eBay extended battery. I'm just not certain that this battery gives any longer life than the Seidio 1500 Mah one I've got.

This particular thread is really long, but somewhere in the midst of the speculation is some real-world experience where a few folks who also purchased the battery you mentioned, indicate that it took > 4 discharge - recharge cycles for the battery to start to show it's true capacity. They also warn never to let it go down to 0% in this initial period.

I wouldn't take my word for it; go ahead (if you haven't already) and read through to get your own perspective.

My experience with these really cheap batteries is that they work well for roughly 4 cycles and then they start to drain MUCH faster than the original batteries... Just my opinion... In general, if it sounds too good to be true, it probably is. But, hey, they got me to buy a couple! @$#%%

You mean to tell me that "you get what you pay for" is, in fact, true?

Re: 2400 mAh Extended Battery- $11.99

Their is only one ebay battery i would buy its made by one of the expensive Lion (play on Li-ion) manufacturers using japanese cells, the battery is a few bucks more expensive but it really is worth it as their is a lot more then mah to a batteries true strength. here is a little review i wrote based on a more detailed review i read and my usage of the battery.

Re: 2400 mAh Extended Battery- $11.99

I've done some more extensive battery testing after more charge cycles, and now found that after 12.5 hours of usage my $12 eBay extended battery still was at 34%. This is with light usage, but with power set never to turn off and backlight only off after 5 minutes idle. Also has weather updating every half an hour and mobiPush push email. That is significantly better than I've gotten with the OEM battery (30% at 6 hours of similar usage). Today I'm testing my Seidio 1500 mAh battery and at the moment am at 21% after 9 hours.

Re: 2400 mAh Extended Battery- $11.99

I'm using older, 2200 mah versions (same vendor) and they're wonderful. I Sling my Touch and run a marine navigation app w/gps. They really draw power and the enhanced capacity is a must. At first I resisted the idea of the bulbous back. It meant my holsters wouldn't fit and was just too large. Well, I not only got over it but have found a tremendous benefit. I can set the Touch on it's side (on my computer desk, for example) and the extended back acts as a "kickstand". It doesn't flop over and works great in speakerphone mode. Finally, the finish on the back cover is a PERFECT MATCH in color and texture. I've got three of these battery/case combos and couldn't be happier. BTW- I picked up an M-Rock Biscayne case and the Touch w/battery fits perfectly and provides room for an extra battery (2200/2400), Jabra BT 8040, stereo earbuds (inside flap), and mini usb/3.5mm cord(outside flap). http://www.m-rock.com/biscayne-30-46.htm

Hi,

I got my new extended battery today. I will post again when I get an idea of how the battery works out.
