Taken right from the link on ebay above....

"This replacement battery has an integrated microchip that prevents overcharging and lengthens battery life"

I have ordered one and will report on its performance.

Re: 2400 mAh Extended Battery- $11.99

I got my battery today. One nice quirk of the new cover is that it actually fits in my cradle that I bought from daydeal.com. I had to remove the clear plastic piece from the cradle... but it actually sits fine because of the cover design.

I initially ordered the cradle and 1400mah extended battery from daydeal.com. I like the style of the cover from daydeal.com better than the one I got from eBay... but it didn't sit on the cradle... even with the clear plastic piece removed.

So I'm charging the new battery (2400mah) now... and actually using my daydeal.com cradle for once! Yay!

The ebay-referenced battery by gullzway appears to have overcharge protection since I regularly leave the battery charging overnight without any ill effects thus far. One cannot always equate higher quality with higher price. Here is ONE person's experience with a Mugen battery: http://www.mobilitysite.com/boards/x...n-battery.html .

Although I have only had my ebay battery for less than a month, I am very satisfied with my $16 purchase in terms of performance and build quality so far.

Re: 2400 mAh Extended Battery- $11.99

Ok, so as mentioned... I got this battery.

When it's connected to my wall charger the charging light never stops. This concerns me as I don't want to damage my phone. I've sent the seller a note. Are others that purchased the e-Bay battery (like this one) experiencing that too?

EDIT:
I reseated the battery and now it's fine... emergency over.

Re: 2400 mAh Extended Battery- $11.99

For anyone who has the Mugen 2400mah battery-

Does the touch w/ the extended back fit in the OEM case/holster like the seido 2000mah battery will? Trying to figure out which one to get....I want the extra 400mah as I'm a super heavy user, but I don't have a case for the phone if it won't fit.

Also, if it doesn't fit in the OEM case, which case do you use?

I'm able to squeeze it into the OEM case... but it does open easily (or more easily) with the extended battery (2400mah from eBay).

Re: 2400 mAh Extended Battery- $11.99

So, after seeing these ENORMOUS batteries you guys are picking up... it got me thinking...

Why not put a small solar panel in the new replacement battery cover? There is plenty of room, and I already checked on ebay---there are panels that would fit, and charge the battery as fast as our wall chargers do, for less than $10...

Imagine just laying your phone face-down, and it charges... indoors, or outside...

mmmm

MOST of the ebay 2400mah arent true 2400mah but 1800or less.

also a solar panel that would fit on the 6900? wouldnt it take days to trickle charge the thing?
