Unfortunately I have not had a Hero to flash to cricket yet. I know that there are different things with android than windows. I would browse howardforums and mobile-files and right here in PPC Geeks.

to be completely honest man...I have no idea what you mean. hahah. I really know nothing about cell phones and what not. I sure would like to know though. How about the HTC touch pro? Did that keep apps and pic messaging when flashed to cricket?

If flashed properly to cricket any of the HTC devices will keep all the functioning items as for apps if mean like telenav or music store, or sprint tv then no but if you mean like google maps market place then yes. MMS will function properly if flashed properly.
I just know there are issues with android and cricket!

ahhh this is good! hahah. mind telling me how to do it by keeping the market and what not? Also, the HTC Hero is not part of Android, is it? so it should work just fine, won't it?

Yes it is.
http://www.htc.com/www/product/hero/specification.html
I know that the Hero has been fully flashed with everything but MMS working there are many more steps to it than a windows phone. I am confident that when I have one in my hands I'll crack it in a couple hrs. But for giving directions for android it would be all guesses.
Heres a good place to start for the Hero for cricket http://howardforums.com/showthread.p...hlight=heroand theres one post in that thread that says he has it all working

okay then thank you very much. I would also greatly appreciate it if once you do get one and try it if you would contact me. My AIM account screen name is "brynerquiag". So, it is undecided if I could get the HTC Hero to work..okay. How about the HTC Touch Pro 1-2? Those both will work just fine with the info given on the first reply to this thread, correct?

I wish I had an easy answer for ya but the info in this thread is/was intended for the Vogue Touch to be unlocked for cricket. The 3 phones that you have mentioned are all different out of the three the TP (1) is the easiest to unlock and flash to cricket. The TP1 takes me about 15-20 minutes TP2 about 1 hr and I haven't touched the Hero yet. Vogues and Titans take me about 10 minutes each. But that's what I do is flash phones since I'm currently unemployed. I am more than willing to help you out and give you more info but I would like to continue through PM because I think we have gone off topic of the thread.

Are you by chance running a stock WM 6.1 ROM?
Also I notice that you have Touch Pro as your device is that correct?
Who was the original carrier?
