ActuveSync failing

I went on a trip this weekend and the phone/activesync were fine. I get back tonight and now activesync keeps failing on my computer? Kind of a bummer as I really enjoyed having GPS working well the entire time with LiveSearch, Google Maps and Sprint's Telnav.

Any suggestions? I've rebooted the computer and soft reset the phone and run MemMaid and rebuilt the notification que. It connects fine, looks for changes and has an error.

did u recently install XP SP3, i had an issue and had to go back to SP2

If that happened it was while I was out of town and installed automatically. I'll see if an update got installed.

the last update was on 5/14/08. windows xp (KB950749). I'm pretty sure I had no snyc problems between then and when I left on the 16th

I've had activesync issues too. I've got SP3 and a kitchen built 3.02 ROM. What happens is, I can get it to sync. Then I can't get it to sync again after multiple attempts UNTIL I kill Activesync on my Touch. Then when I connect it again, it will sync.
Soft reset would probably equal killing Activesync on the Touch so we're probably doing the same thing.
Not sure what the story is here - but Activesync has always been a steaming pile...

I know the fix, and it took me awhile to get it.....

Go to Settings>Connections>USB to PC> and Uncheck or Check the box and that should fix it

What is odd is that I had done this already since I flashed this ROM. I went back and double checked to be sure and it was checked again. So I unchecked it and now it's Activesyncing again fine...
