I bricked my htc touch can someone please help me

ive only had my touch for 2 days i bricked it already it wont progress past the bell start up screen
what i did was use vogue unlocker
then ran ruu with the vista_generic_7.00 from here ftp://up.ppcgeeks.com/Vogue/Users/ghettofreeryder/roms/
from this site i found this link on howards forums http://upload.patelnet.ca/HTC%20Touch%20CABs/
so is there anything i can do to fix this?

Step 1: make sure you take out any memory cards out before you try to install any rom's or ruu's.
Step 2: Enter bootloader mode by holding down both the power and camera buttons and then performing a reset with the stylus.
Step 3: Try and re-install the RUU....pray.....cross fingers.

Hope it helps. Thought I had bricked my phone a couple times in the last few weeks and this has worked everytime.

hi thanks for the reply but it seems that none of the keys respond to pressing other then the reset key

So you're not able to get into bootloader mode by holding down the Power and Camera buttons and then resetting with the stylus where you get the 3 colour screen

Had exact same problem a while ago. Its not a brick, Brick is when ur screen is black and NOTHING is on it and it does not respond to anything. What you have is just a ill rom. Did u have this problem upgrading the radio or did you upgrade just the rom? If its just the rom then download an official rom from the htc website for your carrier (that uses the same radio) and by holding the camera, power, and reseting with stylis (as stated above) enter the tricolor screen, connect to usb, and flash the official rom. Sometimes u cant get into tricolor at the first try, but just keep trying and ull get it.

Don't just poke it. Press the buttons and hold the reset in until you get the tricolor screen.

Hopefully he hasn't upgraded his radio to 3.xx because Bell doesn't have an official ROM at that level. He would most certainly have to downgrade his Radio to 1.59.10a

It doesn't have to be an official rom, its just better to. My phone had that issue when the telus rom was not in the official release and no one made a copy of it. I just flashed a clean rom that was for my phone and got it fixed.
ps: it happened when i tried to cook my own rom after a week of having this phone. (any wm phone) lol.
