This has done wonders for my battery life. Before I needed to charge 2-3 times a day, now I can go 24+ hours with moderate use. Original post on sprintusers.com: http://www.sprintusers.com/forum/showthread.php?t=127164

And make sure to turn your screen off, the backlight is another killer.

see: http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showpost.p...6&postcount=10 for an excellent explanation of what these do. I use wifi, evdo, phone, bluetooth and direct push and have had no ill effects because of these changes.

Re: Battery on Touch

I will have to give that registry tweak a try, b/c when i have good cell service i get alot longer out of the battery. When i have bad service i get to about 6pm and the battery is at 20 %. I guess that is were the car charger comes in handy.

When you say bad service do you mean roaming? Cause Roaming kills any phone. I used to have the 6700 with an extended battery that wouldnt last a shift at work beacuse of roaming. I live in Vegas, and was cooking for a casino. most of the kitchens are located underground, under the actual casino. Sprint reception inst always th best So i would be straight roaming for 8 hours.

Re: Battery on Touch

It takes more battery power for your phone to establish EVDO service when you're in an area with poor signal (switching from 1x to EVDO) than if your phone had good EVDO reception. In some areas EVDO isn't on every tower, so you may get 1 bar of EVDO service but then 4 bars of 1X service (I notice this in some places out of town I go for work). I have noticed significant battery drain in situations like this.
