Re: Sprint "leaked" Rom survey

I haven't tried using BT with it yet. I'll try it out tonight.

Re: Sprint "leaked" Rom survey

I'm on the leaked and I'm happy with it... I actually like it a little better than ones I've built with the kitchen (for now anyway, and only because the stock rom has most of the stuff I need anyway... the ppckitchen is an awesome project). It's easy enough to flash ROMs onto phones that when the official one comes out I'll throw it on there.

There are a list of known issues (Thread link) but those problems could just as well exist in the final version when it is released... it's just a matter of the programs being updated to support whatever changes occur in the OS between the builds.

To answer the question, the ROM feels stable enough to me that I won't feel pressured to run and flash my phone with every single update released (although, because it's easy enough, I will anyway...)

Re: Sprint "leaked" Rom survey

Installed it last night, GPS works great with Dewman's instructions.
The only thing I don't like about it is WM6.1 related (I think), I can't seem to find a shortcut open the start menu (WM6.0 had one in the Windows folder).

Re: Sprint "leaked" Rom survey

Presumably there will be a radio update with the final release, so I'd definitely want to flash to get (hopefully) better GPS functionality.

CDMA Sprint Touch certainly does not have WiFi. Is the same true for all of the CDMA/GSM (Vogue/Elf/etc.) variants?

I ask, because there are some extended battery covers out there which have WiFi on the back, which makes me think that something on this HTC platform has WiFi, but I could certainly be wrong.

Best regards,

AAAAARGH!! Well I just loaded the leaked ROM and I still have the same issue. Also, for some reason, even though I ran the PPST thing without letting customizations run, TOMTOM just says No GPS DEvice.

I'm going to try a different port and maybe try hard resetting.
