And what I meant about those guys being wrong is only because they advise to flash just any different rom and the chef should go away. When if fact flashing back to JD's rom which did not have that splash in the begining now all of a sudden does... Kinda confusing... That's all... Cheers... |

Re: How can i remove this PPCGeeks and PPCkitchen Bootup screen?
Exactly - and there's ALWAYS an existing one (or more, depending on device). If you think there isn't one, it's just because its the same as the image before/after it (or solid black, in the case of the first splash).

Re: How can i remove this PPCGeeks and PPCkitchen Bootup screen?
I have posted this a few times, a search would have answered this question....yes, it will hard reset your phone, but wont touch your existing rom......but if you're a flash junkie, you should already have backups.
ftp://up.ppcgeeks.com/Vogue/Users/OM...bootsplash.zip btw---I usually don't include splash's in my roms, but because I was testing the 6.1 GPS PPCGeeks kitchen, I threw em in....had I known it would cause such a frenzy I owuld have left them stock.

Re: How can i remove this PPCGeeks and PPCkitchen Bootup screen?
just look for the OEM Screens in the original roms and rename them with one of the ones in the splash screen folder it'll replace the image and ur back to normal as for the Sprint Animation you have to do the same thing it is just in the animations folder i did this last nite and was successful
**keep in mind i used the No 2 Chem build os to install the ROM not sure what ur using but this worked for me Last edited by head honch; 05-07-2008 at 03:31 PM. |
