Re: HTC touch is a mother flippin POS

I don't mean to be a jerk here but since you said that all the HTC phones you have had have been flaky it got me thinking that maybe you are not truly closing out of programs. You do realize that when you hit the little x you are not really closing out of a program, just minimizing it? If you let programs build up, taking up memory, then your phone will crash. I am sure you know this already but sometimes the simple things solve the problem because we just don't know.

i think HTC devices have issues period, the 6700, 6800 both did whacky crap.

my refurbished treo was more stable than this device

The funny part is that HTC manufactured several of the Palm Treos such as the 700w...

Re: HTC touch is a mother flippin POS

My first HTC Touch never worked right, it kept freezing and restarting right after activation. At first I thought I just didn't know how to use it because I've been using Treo's with Palm OS for several years and never had a WM phone. So after 3 days I called tech support and after advanced tech support walked me through a few things, then they did a remote log in and told me that I needed to take my phone to the store and exchange it because it had a internal defect and since I got the 2nd one I haven't had any problems and considering I was clueless... let me re-word that considering I'm still clueless about WM, the phone has been really easy to use and someone in the sprint store told me about this website, he said he uses it a lot for stuff on his mogul so I've gotten every question I had answered on here... I don't even call tech support anymore, LOL! I just do a search for whatever my issue or question is and it's usually a thread about it so I do a lot of reading on here.

Take it back and get a phone you can understand
how to operate correctly.....maybe a RAZR or a Choclate.

i would object to part of this, but the only issue i experienced with it is that any version of the Slick IM app freezes it up and i never used it again. i had to soft reset it and then remove it.

haha you are a funny one...ive been using WM devices for years now, and never had issues with any except for the 6700, 6800, and this one. the samsung i760 was great except for the lack of ram and was more stable than this thing is. i think im gonna get the blackberry curve and go back to blackberry again.

I have 5 Treos I can say aren't very good.. Sure no lock ups, but nothing much I can do customizing wise on them to make them lockup. But the kicker is the problem with their radios.. Everything looks fine all day, except when you find out no one has been able to call you because it went dead without a warning, notice. Having to power down all the time and never knowing if the radio's died kinda stinks..

Now when you are talking about the 6700, 6800 doing whacky crap and your 6900 acting up.. Are you talking about stock or you messed/customized their roms/radios/bootloaders?

Personally I have not had major problems with HTC devices (except WM Treos, which is made by HTC) using them stock.

I would suggest the same, if it's stock, you have a bad unit, return it for a replacement.
