Re: With a bell mobility HTC cdma which rom is recomended...???
If you want a stock like one go with Mustan-Tech's I love it. I've tried JD's and OMJ's doesn't fit my taste, I kinda like how bell is stock with added gps and rev a and Mustan-Tech's clean build is the closest I've seen.
but you gotta load the alltel 3.37 radio and if you want downgrade to the titan 3.35 radio as per jd's instructions and then load mustan-tech rom but be sure to follow the instructions word for word! |

Thanks for the reply... I sort of took your advise and finnally took the plunge... Was sweating buckets for a minute.. but everything worked up just fine... I had a bell mobility HTC touch with Rom 1.19 and radio 1.59.10a... Went ahead and follow the exact instructions from this link.. (1 through 12)http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=24979 Obvioulsty choosing the alltel with GPS... Also note that I used all the files from those links too... then I kept scrolling down to "GPS How-to" and follow steps 1 through 4.... And you know what... everything worked like a charm... JUST PERFECT.... Also note that internet worked all along after the unlocker then also after the alltel rom and also again after the JD'S room... Again if you follow those instruction just as they are, you should not ran into any troubles... Now as far as the GPS... again I open GPS viewer and after I see one or more sats under GPS Status tab.. I go ahead and open Google maps and what do you know...? IT works every time and is dead on to the square foot... Really, really happy with this upgrade... ![]() Hope this helps...For any Bell mobility fans... Only thing tho is that that forth page in the cube kind of bothers me... Note that there are only 3 pages but one 4th one kind of flashes by and I can see some icons in it... Is there a way to fix that...? |

Re: With a bell mobility HTC cdma which rom is recomended...???
I'm on Bell as well. I like ghetto's rom and that's what I'm using now. It doesn't have that fourth cube page flashing. I do remember that but I didnt recall mustan's rom having that but then again I was flashing roms like crazy during that time. I've settled now until some new roms come out that makes gps more stable or if the official rom comes out. You may want to try roms as well.

I'd be honest with you... GPS with the install I did above (Alltel) works 100%... How about Ghetto's..?? Should I consider using MacFlow to get over the cube factor...? Also one more question... I noticed some people using speedtest.net to test their speed on HTC Touch.. When I go to it from my HTC IE browser it tells me to download Flash 7 so I click on the link provided to Adobe download center... But the Adobe website comes back with an error:"We are unable to locate a web player that matches your platform and browser"... Any Ideas on how to get over this..? mobilespeedtest.com works fine... but I get all different kinds of speeds readings... Last edited by portenio; 05-05-2008 at 08:46 AM. |

Re: With a bell mobility HTC cdma which rom is recomended...???
just download the rom you want and install (you should have 2.31 unlocker already installed on the phone) so its just as easy as one or 2 clicks and boom done.

Re: With a bell mobility HTC cdma which rom is recomended...???
Good Morning!
I have been having difficulty getting Bell's Music Store to install with the Esmertec Jbed Build 20070802.2.1 included with JDs Hybrid. I downloaded JukeBox.jad from: http://bellmobility.groovemobile.net...stallcheck.cgi Then in Esmertec: Menu - Install - Local Files, search finds JukeBox, click Go, the follwing error appears: JukeBox.jad cannot be installed because critical information is not formatted correctly and is invalid. -28 Please contact the application provider for more information. Does anybody know how to get the Bell Music Store functioning or know of a ROM that includes the Music Store installed? Any help is apreciated! Thanks, Audi2Audi. |

found here http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=25325 You'll need the RUU, all the links and instructions can be found here http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=24979 It's all very easy. As for speedtest.net, I believe those are for people who are tethering, I get charged insanely for that as it's not part of my plan so I don't use it. mobilespeedtest.com gives me varied results so I'm not too sure about REV A for my area, either that or I'm just in a bad reception area. I'm in Vancouver, btw. |
