where are you two getting this info from, about the screen using less power and the viewing angle suffers bc of it?

No, it doesn't have anything to do with power savings; LCD's all operate on the same basic principle. I don't know if the Mogul has a LED or cold cathode backlight; but I'm pretty sure it has nothing to do with that. it has to do with a ****ty lcd panel. end of story.

After that statement, makes me wonder how long you wore your tin hat.

Re: Is you Touch screen terrible?

Btw, Verizon has the exzact same batter and has a screen equal as the moguls with great viewing angle and last about the same as the Sprint Touch. Its just a totally different screen. The phone is useless in landscape mode.

Well you couldn't be more wrong, that is the Exact reason for using this type of screen in the Vouge.

But since you guys seem to know it all I won't bother explaining the technical differences in the Mogul VS the Vouge screens, especially with since you're "pretty sure" it has nothing to do with it.

Since you uh, seem to be a self-proclaimed expert, lets hear it. The viewing angle has nothing to do with power consumption. Got it?
You hinted at the difference between CCFL and LED backlights; regardless of which one the Vouge has, it's not going to affect the angle.

Were you on the vogue, dev team or something? How could you possibly know that? They could have just as easily put a better battery in the vogue. This was more likely done to cut down cost.

Who cares about the mogul though, its a different phone. Now whether or not the verizon vogue really has a better screen or not, ill believe it when i see it. If it does, then your theory is completely wrong. If it doesnt then this whole thread is a waste of time. Maybe ill stop by the verizon store tomorrow.

Its not true that power consumption directly affects viewing angle. Viewing angle is a characteristic of the actual lcd panel. It is true that a tn panel requires less light to operate, thus the overall device using less power via power consumption of the backlight only.

When did I proclaim myself an expert??

Why would I even bother explaining anything to you with your crappy ignorant attitude, especially since I obviously don't know what I'm talking about anyways....
I will say this though .... the savings in power consumption is directly related to the viewing angle in this case, the sub pixel structure is orientating the photons to be filtered through the panel in an almost perpendicular angle so as to require less power to acheive the same level of brightness when viewing straight on compared to other tft screens that don't employ the same technology.

No I wasn't on the dev team, but unless you are stupid it's pretty easy to figure out a few of their goals are better performance, lower cost and less power consumption.

So where is this "better battery" coming from, that makes no sense whatsoever, you can only get so many mah out of a certain size/type of battery.

Flame away because I WON"T be responding to this thread anymore, I'm done wasting my time on this, try to give a little helpful info and end up getting jumped on, screw both of you.
