verizon vs spring screens

I saw a verizon touch today and I fell in love with their screen. its viewing angle was just like the moguls. there is no angle limit on it like the sprint touch. so I need to know if I can order a verizon screen thru verizon and install it on my touch. aNy experts in here that can tell me if its compatible ? I already opened up a touch in the past so I am very familiar with taking it apart

Re: verizon vs spring screens

Could you please elaborate on what you mean by angle limit? My friend has a mogul, and I've never noticed a big difference in our screens (except that his is less responsive).

Re: verizon vs spring screens

I'm not sure what you're talking about either...I have a touch and a mogul and don't see a difference.

Re: verizon vs spring screens

I think the "angle" being talked about is when you don't look at the screen center on. If you see the screen at high or low angles to the normal line of the screen the colors look washed out with either darker or brighter colors.

Re: verizon vs spring screens

image talking about the viewing angle on the touch. if you look directly to the sprint touch screen, it looks fine. but if you look at it from the side, the screen changes terribly. some cheap lcd monitors do this too. the mogul does not have this issue. but the sprint touch does. another good example is to switch the sprint touch to landscape and view your pictures. you will notice that one eye sees a darker shaded picture than the other eye. well the verizon touch does not have this problem.its screen is like the moguls.

Re: verizon vs spring screens

I got my Sprint Touch back in Nov and the screen is horrible. But today I played with my friend's Sprint Touch which she got last week and found out her screen is awesome.

Re: verizon vs spring screens

I have heard of stories like this. Where 2 sprint touches do have different screens. BUt at this point I have not come across any Sprint touch that has that great screen. So now my option is to spend about 100 dollars on a Verizon touch replacement screen and swap out the screen on my Sprint touch. But i would like to know that its the same ribbon connectors and compatible with Sprint.

Re: verizon vs spring screens

It's pretty common for manufacturers to use multiple sources for components (such as LCD screens). I've seen a great deal of variance between Sprint's Touches. It's luck of the draw.
