xv6900 help with viewing in full sunlight

I thought I had seen a thread about the someone having issues seeing the screen in full sunlight, but can't seem to find it. I have backlight bright which helps some. Is there a tweak or app that will improve viewing screen in full sunlight.

Unrelated question: Anyone try this case yet? If so does the touch screen still work well?

Nope... nothing will improve it. You paid for it and you got it. Make sure you like it if your still under 30 return.

Always?

That sucks more battery than any thing else. Plus, if you use it that way all the time, your eyes get used to it being real bright. I've found it best to use the lowest possible backlight setting for ambient conditions, and then crank it up when in direct sunlight, by having a link I can get to without having to see the screen in order to brighten it up. I'd like to make the right (red) hardware press and hold take me to Windows\Backlight.exe, but have settled for now with using the right soft button, thanks to KeySwop. After that, navigation right ups backlight.

Of course, stepping into the shade or creating your own shade by bending over and holding Touch in your own shadow while using a hand as visor can help too.
