Re: Stock sprint gps rom
I would love a stock one as well. While I certainly appreciate JD's own rom, we use our Touch differently than they do. JD's is work is great, but we seem to use many different apps so ideally I'd start with a different base than would be ideal for him. I'm not talented enough to create my own so I'm hoping someone here who is more knowledgeable than I also would like a base rom. He certainly does use some of the same apps as I do and I love that he put in some things I think should be base for any WM phone my use is different than his.
If someone asked me for an ideal build it probably wouldn't all be able to run without installing apps afterwards. I don't use any games at all so that would free up a teensy bit of space. I'd like them to keep- Domain enrollment MS Task Manager Office Customer Feedback I'd like them to Add- .Net 3.5 .Net Messages Audio Manager Flash Video Adobe Flash TCPMP 1-calc Full Updated File Explorer That Java Everybody Likes Remote Desktop MS Voice Command Wktask (set as the primary task manager and app launcher) - I could use either this or the MS one - no big concern Quick Menu VXUtil Other apps which I use as essential - but no need to bake them in since they update them pretty frequently SPB Pocket Plus SPB phone Suite Last edited by boe; 04-28-2008 at 10:09 AM. |

Re: Stock sprint gps rom
Maybe you can try Mustan-Tech's clean ROM. I am not sure about the music store though, I never use it.

Re: Stock sprint gps rom
well i was able to get the music store to work but with those annoying this is not trusted prompts anybody know a way to disable those prompts i also found out and this is not really related but i thought was cool that if you swipe from left to right on the screen you can skip to the next track and if you swipe from right to left the previous track

Re: Stock sprint gps rom
I would also like one. I have been running the OEM Sprint WM6.1 rom for 2 months with great success and 0 lockups! If this rom could be updated to enable GPS and Rev. A that would be great!

Re: Stock sprint gps rom
I think the closest thing to a "Stock Sprint" with GPS is what I have running and I think many others.
AllTel WM 6.0 OS ROM for Vogue (Stock Cube, HTC Home etc.) Sprint Titan 3.35 Radio Sprint Customization Scripts Sprint Security Unlock (to allow unsigned GPS DLL's to start, NO kickstart) Latest GPS DLL's GPSMode=4 It has been Stable GPS with ASSIST. (no softresets for GPS since Sat Night). Fixes Voice Command BT Confirmation (but confirmation is still low volume over BT). Supposedly enables REV-A but hard to say but I am gettingg 1250/500 kbs It's a bit of work todo and learn how to do. I don't follow custom ROM's and there may be one very much like it. None of the other Sprint Junk is running Sprint TV, etc. but probably could be added. I've done several 2 hr trips from MA to CT and back with iGuidance, while using the BT Headset at the same time and it has not skipped a beat. COLD GPS can take a couple minutes sometimes. Assisted GPS usually in a few seconds. It does not always get the assist though (does 4 out 5 times).
