Alltel 3.04.671.2 Issues/Observations

I have loaded the Alltel ROM in question - and in my opinion it is better than the stock Bell Mobility ROM I had - it seems faster and does not have the garbage that the Bell ROM includes (I have about 25MB more storage space). Some obersvations:

- Internet speeds (though nothing quantitative) do not 'feel' any faster/slower.
- GPS is flaky at best - sometimes gets a lock, sometimes not, but I am not complaining because I realise that it is not official. I still think it's sweet!
- Boot times are noticably reduced from Bell ROM
- Radio version is newer, but I haven't noticed any beneftis or caveats.

All in all, I am happy with the Alltel ROM for its better use of space/perfrormance gains over the Bell one.
