getting MSL number doesnt work with getSPC

You need to put the .dll in the \windows folder on your phone first.

It allows you to pretty much trash your phone if not carefull. With the MSL you can get into the programming menus.
There are Nam settings, CDMA, network, roaming, Secret AAA and many other settings. Probably not much you want to change in there except Slot Cycle Index is a good 1 to play with. It tells your phone how often to poll the towers for incoming calls. It's set to 2 but setting to 1 will make your phone ring sooner when a call comes in. It's possible that it could make your battery drain faster because it's making the phone work more.

I do this with mine and have tryed the 2003 and the normal one and they both give me the same output but it doesnt work, I have us cellular for a carrier if that makes a difference. I also have been entering the HEX in all caps(i read that it makes a difference).

Does it get you the actual MSL with no ill side effects? I'd like to tweak the bluetooth volume settings. I think I need the MSL to get to where I can do that on a palm 800w

If you want to easily get your MSL, you can install and run the program in the cab I've attached. It'll do a quick search on your device and display it to you with no input from you. Works great! Enjoy

If your phone is from Verizon your MSL/SPC should be 000000.
If your phone is the BlackBerry listed in your signature then GetSPC will not work it is for the Windows Mobile platform.
