Re: Attention Chefs! Who wants to make Kitchens for XV6900?
yeah, you could use a stock rom as a base. I just figured someone would want to throw in 6.1 or something.

Re: Attention Chefs! Who wants to make Kitchens for XV6900?
Well, it sounds like PPCKitchen for the Touch / Vogue might be at a dead end, at least until they get a donor device for testing. CoKe had one, but he (unfortunately) turned it into a door-stop trying to (I think) get REV.A and GPS working on it from a Titan / Mogul ROM.

Don't you just need a "dump" of the phone, (whatever that is)?

You're best bet is to go over to PPCKitchen.org and jump into chat and pose the request and offer to Colonel, Tierman, NexVision, etc.

Re: Attention Chefs! Who wants to make Kitchens for XV6900?
the dumped version of Verzion is a bit weird .. i have installed it and found some weird text files inside and a folder from my memory card keeps copying itself to the main memory!! whenever i delete it, it goes back the main memory... we need a better dump i guess!

Re: Attention Chefs! Who wants to make Kitchens for XV6900?
I don't know much about this stuff, so please bear with me.
This ROM reports the following in Start -> Settings -> System -> About CE OS 5.2.1946 (Build 18550.0.7.4) So, how do you know if this particular OS has more current things than say, another OS in a kitchen? I followed the post by jakdillard http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showpost.p...12&postcount=2 and I brought the SYS folder from the VX decomposed kitchen, into the DCD 1.0.4 kitchen ... but my question isn't really the how-to doing stuff like this. When do you know that a more recent build / version has come out? |
