Re: Sprite vs SPB Backup

My only question is, will it back up what you have set up for e-mail accounts, and back up registry?

I had the same issue with my HTC Polaris.
I used SPB Backup NL on the WWE WM6 device (English), this might be the issue although I am not sure.
All seperate backups worked fine untill backup of My Documents, then the Touch freezed, even when My Documents folder was totally empty!
I uninstalled the Dutch version of SPB Backup and installed the English version of SPB backup. Now backups are running fine.

I know that Sprite does, I assume the others do too, otherwise why use them?

I had found one to use, but saved any e-mails that were downloaded, but did not save any of the config info, so when the backup was loaded it failed on those cause there was no location to put them....

Re: Sprite vs SPB Backup

I have to correct the Touch-SPB freeze issue
I noticed that when backing up to a subfolder on the storage card seems to freeze SPB backup when doing a full backup with My Documents included. When backing up to the root of the storage card everything runs fine.

Re: Sprite vs SPB Backup

I ended up buying Sprite Backup. I actually purchased it from Pocket Gear but cancelled and did get my money back from them. Prior to the purchase I sent them an email and the reply stated that I would be getting version 6.1. NOT TRUE. What I got from Pocket Gear was version 5.1. Not Good.

I did try Resco and SPB but in each case the completed backups had errors. No problems with Sprite so Sprite it is.

Thanks all for chiming in. I appreciate all replies.

Re: Sprite vs SPB Backup

the trial of sprite made me fall in love with it... but alas cant afford the full version right now so it back to spb.... which kinda becomes useless when i'm flashing so frequently...

that was the main selling point for sprite with me, that you could restore to upgraded roms ect with no issue... sigh
