I too would love to hear some user opinions of Roms without exaggerations. The next thing is to flash back to a stock rom. Threaded SMS is nice but not worth the trouble. Personally tried out: OMJ's 6.1 (quickmenu and the excess progs turned me off) and the OEM version which freezes more than anything but quick.

Why not just stick the stylus in the hole and soft reset? I've never had a lockup that a soft reset wouldn't fix.

PlainShane: Yeah me either. Haha.. oh well its still annoying, especially if its frozen and you haven't recieved any calls.. plus the boot time. Thanks for the advice though that saves some time.

RobNyc: I did that, disabled start up on boot in the preferences, exited... clicked yes don't start up next time and exit.. rebooted. It starts up again :\. Its not that hard to get rid of it but everytime.. i kinda don't like that its going to be like that everytime i power on and off. Plus it takes away the battery meter and i definately need that on the screen.

DJ: I'm gonna give yours a try.. I'm assuming my latest ROM flash is going to eventually cause a freeze. So far so good though. Appreciate the work.

I just noticed all the WM 6.1 ROMs I've tried they all lock-up and mainly is whatever I'm doing mostly. Like texting . I'm just gonna find a WM 6.1 Stock Rom / OEM and take it from there most likely if that doesnt fix it I'll go back to WM 6.0 or a nice Custom WM 6.0 rom and just use Vito SMS-Chat and Vito FunContacts which for me are the best in WM 6.0 to use for Threaded-SMS / History and Contacts scroll and stuff. Try it guys

a Hybrid ROM sounds really cool though

No, the only way to get the Threaded SMS is to use one of the WM6.1 ROMS.

with the wm6 rom v17 i'm unable to edit the registry? any fix? thanks!

to clairify, the device seems locked down, cannot install apps anymore or edit the registry. can only view. odd. using the rom you posted in this thread.

NEVERMIND think i got it, unlocking didnt complete last time.

Nope, definately cant edit anything with the wm6 rom v17. weird any ideas?

yea can just soft reset it rather than taking the battery out

im considering this rom and think I may use a 3rd party threaded sms. If 6.0 had threaded sms I have no need for 6.1 yet

Try installing this and then doing a soft reset ( install to device ). It just registry entries.
