Re: Android For The Vogue Is Here!!!

I've installed that latest version (android-24-10-08.zip) on to my Sprint HTC Touch.
It is running perfectly... except for one thing. It does not recognize the SD Card.

I have an SDHC 8Gb card. When I boot up, I go to Developer Tools and initiate "Media Scanner". A Window opens and says "Media Scanner started. scanning /sdcard" and just hangs there.

Questions:
1) How long does it take to scan an SD Card? 5 minutes? 1 hour?
2) Any ideas on how I can get it to read my SD Card?

Thanks!

sd support is really not implemented too well just yet. hang in there and I'm sure it will be pretty soon as I think its sort of high on the priority list. Right now it kind of depends. If your card is small, it should take less than 10 minutes, can't remember exactly how long it took w/ my 2gb but i think like 3 minutes. As for my 6gb, it never works so ya :S

Re: Android For The Vogue Is Here!!!

I just downloaded the latest 28-10-2008.zip from dzo website and unzipped the files to /storage card/ and when I try to run haret it goes into an endless loop either saying "sd init retry | mmc0: data error (-110)" and just keeps going and going.

I did remove all other instances before placing the new files on the device as well. I am not sure if the default.txt file is correct. Here it is just in case:

Quote:
set MTYPE 1667
set KERNEL zImage
set initrd initrd.gz
#
# The following kernel parameters are useful
# ppp.username - The username used to connect to the network when dialing #777
# ppp.password - The password used to connect to the network when dialing #777
# msm_sdcc.msmsdcc_fmax - The maximum frequency (in Hz) used by the SD controller
# pm.sleep_mode - The mode used when the phone is off
# 0=Power Collapse Suspend, 1=Power Collapse, 2=Apps Sleep,
# 3=Slow Clock and Wait for Interrupt 4=Wait for Interrupt
# Default is 3, use 0 for best power savings
# board-htcvogue.panel_type - Panel type used to power the panel off and on
# 0=Don't power off the panel (Default)
# 1=Hitachi 2=Topoly 3=Samsung
#
set cmdline "ppp.username=mobile@jamamobile ppp.password=telecom"
# msm_sdcc.msmsdcc_fmax=32000000 pm.sleep_mode=0 board-htcvogue.panel_type=1
# fbcon=rotate:1
# console=ttyMSM0"
boot

Edit: I tried reinstalling the .cab installer and it works fine. I then removed the entire presence and installed the newest (28-10-200 version and it gets the same error again from above. Tried replacing zImage from the .cab installer with the new one and again same error but if I just use the one that came with the .cab then it works.?
