is the cap at myhtcphone the 0.90 android? According to the first post there have been no updates for a few weeks.

the cab is for the older android. since nothing new is stable yet, i havent bothered. once something is stable, ill update it. the zipped files have the latest android sdk.

eTiger13 I tried to make the beta .9 earily look version work by basically inserting folders where I would have put your 1st cab version of android. The 1st version worked flawlessly thank you. My question is how to get the .9 beta version to work properly? I put in all the files exactly how I was told on the 1st release you gave not how you said to put everything in SD root and run haret. I noticed there was one more file than the last CAB and it is called initrd-android around 20kb too big for my phone and so I put it on my SD card. Still nothing.... Did I not do it properly??

If your this far then your in Android.. not linux.. We are simply using a linux bootloader to load the Android kernal..

he is asking what the 3d globe is, which is actually the global time app that expresses the ability of androids open gl api. seems like a fair question to me?

to correct what walter said; android utilizes java on top of the linux kernal. currently we are launching a windows based executable Bootloader called haret. to suggest the global app is running in a linux environment is accurate enough...

There is a new install of the Android v.0.9 over at XDA. Still Beta, but big UI change, lots of cool stuff to play with. Runs fine on my CDMA Touch, 4 Gig SDHC

Unless this is even newer than last week, it would not run on my Touch with 4GB SDHC......
SO I will have to wait till they have a more stable version of .9

It wont run on my 4gb SDHC card (Sandisk OEM version), but i have a 512 mb transflash card lying around and it runs fine from it
