Re: Android For The Vogue Is Here!!!

eTiger13: I really appriciate the effort and the installer format, but my experience sounds like everyone else here who has commented on it so far. In addition to the "can't access tty" error, I first see "Unknown boot option `ppp.username=....

I think you ought to pull the link until you've stabalized your distro more or you will sour many peoples first experience with Android. I have the latest build from a gentleman at Massey University and it runs from my 8GB SDHC card quite nicely.

A more complete log of my boot is as follows (falsified ppp info for this post):

Code:

[0.000000] Unknown boot option `ppp.username=5555555555@
[0.000000] Unknown boot option `ppp.password=vzw': ignor
[1.269841] mmc0: Command timeout
[1.276091] mmc0: Command timeout
[1.282548] mmc0: Command timeout
[1.288791] mmc0: Command timeout
Welcome to Vouge Linux
[1.30000] mmc0: Timed out waiting for DATAEND
Please wait... Extracting System Image
gzip: can't open '/sdcard/system': File exists
Failed
Failed to extract System Image
/bin/sh: can't access tty; job control turned off

I'm then left at a [bash?] shell. Using ls, I can see that /sdcard/system and /sdcard/system.gz exist.

Same problem here .. I tried installing to the SD card as well as the device. I just bought a Sandisk 4GB card.
I'm running DHArvey's latest with Spb Mobile Shell 2.1.

I was able to run this a couple of weeks ago on my 512 card, but I also installed that directly to the device
