Re: Android For The Vogue Is Here!!!
i changed my default.txt to be login@mobile.sprintpcs.com, with my login and password being my sprint.com login credentials and get very limited data. the first page will half load, but then hang and i cant load any other pages. the default.txt he uploaded gives me no data at all and using my vision username and password also gives me no data.

Re: Android For The Vogue Is Here!!!
My observations:
1. Bone stock vzw xv6900 (got it yesterday!) 2. Downloaded all the files on: http://it029000.massey.ac.nz/vogue/ 3. Placed them on my SD card in a folder titled "android" 4. When opening haret.exe, and running default.txt... "Error Failed to load ... initrd.gz" 5. Fix: Opened default.txt and moved the "#" from "intrid-android" to "intrid.gz" (also changed username= my10digitnumber@vzw3g.com, password=vzw) 6. Ran haret.exe and run defalt.txt. (did not need to "listen for network") 7. Penguin and boot script ran... 8. "Knight Rider" icon... 9. Android/Linux Homescreen up! 10. touch screen works nicely, maps and browser work with data connection. 11. Camera button loads keyboard. Seems to work ok. 12. up/down on d-pad work. 13. End Button exits apps. 14. Impressed with ease of navigation through menus and apps (for those that work) Question: Now how the heck do I exit out of Android and back to Windows? I have pressed every button and resorted to pulling out my battery. Can't be great for my phone. Kudos: Especially to Martin from Massey University Tech Page. I am really impressed with how fast Android is being developed. I just an enthusiast with minimal Linux knowledge. I have been using Ubuntu on my PC with great success, and I cannot wait to see the future of Linux on Mobile phones. Furthermore, I work for one of the major Wireless Carriers. Go open handset alliance! Keep up the good work guys! |
