Re: How to remove unwanted cabs from custom roms?
Yes, I downloaded a rom and didn't like what it came with, example was PocketCm. So i wanted to remove it, but its not in the add and remove window. So i figures dumping the rom and deleting it manually and rebilding the rom and flashing should do it. Problem is .. I have gona as far as using BuildOS and thats it. heheh But i will read your instructions...

I was amazed at how intact the roms are after a prepit. Usually the oems may get transfered to the SYS folder, but the oems usually survive intact.

Re: How to remove unwanted cabs from custom roms?
ok, one more stupid question. How do you extract the kitchen. Instruction 1 says extract the kitchen of your choice. But how do you extract it. Better yet .. just tell me the name of the tool that does the extraction.

Carefull what you delete though... In the Kitchen world OEM's are the same as cab's... If you don't recognize a directory in \sys as something you've seen as a cab, don't delete it! Last edited by rstoyguy; 03-22-2008 at 12:16 PM. |

Re: How to remove unwanted cabs from custom roms?
OEMs that go to the sys folder after running prepit have a dsm made for them, just clear the dsm if you want them to stay in OEM after prepit
