Re: i realized how much i love my touch after buying an iphone.
this is what i did, i called a few stores and they required a new contract. i called to a store that i knew have some left and spoke to a girl, told here i wanted to buy it has a gift for my girl and that if it was possible, she said "no problem" and i asked for her name. went to the store and asked for her, u brought out the iphone and the manager came saying that i need a new contract, she explained my situation and he told me to make sure she activated the phone within 14 days, (suckers) they only asked for my email address. so now i have a 1.1.4 unlock version ready for resale. This refurbish phone look completly new never use, not a single scratch and everything included. it even come with the tape that cover the screen.

Refurbs are usually brand new. They call them refurbs for tax purposses. I know a guy that worked for toshiba and he explained that there refurbs were actually new most of the time but were labled as refurbs for tax purposses and they usually didn't come in a retail box. Just my experience.... |

Re: i realized how much i love my touch after buying an iphone.
the iphone wins hands down the user interface is much better, Microsft has a thing to learn from apple. The touch can not decide if it wants to be an iphone or a windows mobile device, when in iphone mode it is nothing like an iphone, granted the iphone is on a 2.5 g data network but this year there will be a 3g iphone and ever perhaps a faster cpu with it.

It is a WM phone that is what it is, as for the slow "speed" of the Iphone, it doesn't really matter to a large number of people if it is bumped up to the next level because although I've had Rev A in our area for years, yes years, ATT is slower than **** and has no plans I can find to ever increase it. P.S. Ed, I also saw that $199 deal and was thinking of getting one myself for a little while and unlocking/selling it ![]() Last edited by Primenall; 03-06-2008 at 05:28 PM. |

Re: i realized how much i love my touch after buying an iphone.
The 3g iPhone is rumored to only be in Europe and that AT&T is going to roll out WiFi "everywhere" with their unused 700MHz spectrum. So that there may never be a 3G iPhone.

The iPhone SDK was just announced. Dang! It's nice.
SDK = Software Development Kit

I'm no big apple fan but I will give credit where credit is due, the iPhone is a pretty decent device IMO.

Re: i realized how much i love my touch after buying an iphone.
I agree, the iphone is quality. My main gripes with the iphone were 1) no gps software and 2) no tethering (linked closely with a slow network not making tethering useful even if available). I believe now at least one company is in the midst of releasing gps software (albeit over wifi connection to the gps module, which I don't quite understand the reason vs. bluetooth), and with the SDK probably more to come. I don't know if anyone ever figured out a way to tether the iphone. The operating system is a sight to behold. Sure, I can't modify everything like i can with WM6. But then again, it's better than what I've been able to do with all the WM addons, and I could have saved the hours of tweaking labor and put them to some good use... like learning to meditate or downloading porn or something.
