Sent SMS Alert Sound Removal??????

Thanks for the suggestion, but thats not what Im talking about..thats when I receive a new msg...Im talking about when I send a sms...that annoying ringing sounds it makes when it displays "message sent"

That sucks that you cant just get rid of the sound and keep the display msg...

What sound does it play? Alarm2 isn't it? just copy the silent wav file to \windows\alarm2.wav and get-er-done...It's been so long that I've had that nosentmsg I don't remember the sound.

Agreed.

Further, you could copy the first alarm2 wav and rename the copy; so you would have the silent one called alarm2 so the sms sent message does not make noise, then you would also still have the alarm2 tone for you to attach to anything you want to use it for.

Sounds like a winner to me.

I FOUND IT! And tested it!

Wave = "\Windows\silent.wav"

Edit:
///The above edit just tells windows the .wav file to play when this event happens. The first line is the location in the registry, the second line is the key to change to your whatyouwant.wav

So still copy silent.wav to your windows directory and edit the registry. This still pops up the Msg Sent box, but no annoying sound. Just don't know what else it will silence. I had no luck just coping the file w/out reloading my rom.

Ended up being a simple registry search for alarm2. Other things that this silences are not noticable to me and I am happier without that THUWUNK! File delete confirmation (still get OK/Cancel dialog), and a couple other "you can't do that" type of sounds. All of which so far I can do without.
