Deleting the Outlook-Email Account

Does anyone know how to delete the Outlook email account? I do not use it and do not want it showing up in my list of messaging accounts. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Re: Deleting the Outlook-Email Account

You have one of your ActiveSync profiles setup to sync email. Just disable that from the profile you have it setup for and it should go away...might have to soft reset.

I deleted all of my activesync profiles and soft reset my phone and the problem persists. Dont know if this makes a difference, but I'm using Vista and Windows Mobile Device Center. I've removed the settings from activesync on my phone and setup the phone w/o syncing any of the options (contacts, files, mobile favorites, etc).

I also tried to find a registry edit that would disable that account from showing up, but couldn't locate the key. Does anyone know a registry edit that would disable and account from displaying?

Thanks for this, though it never drove em crazy, it was an annoyance. And now when I click on the message box only the text, hotmail, and Add are there. Worked Perfect!

It did prompt me on the PC side of activesync that it would be deleting files from the PPC.

Nice find, but I don't want to lose my notifications when I receive text messages. I think I'll wait it out and see if there is an alternative.
