Re: HOw to put movies on our phone???
There are a lot of software to do it, depends on your own technical level which one you wanna use. There are "1-click" type of software that doesn't give you much control over it, but are easy to use ( when they work )
My preference is to do it by hand, so I use TMPGENC Express. The vogue has builtin support for 3GP video format, so I created a profile for that and just fiddle with the settings according to what I'm encoding. I don't worry too much about size, once you drop it down to 320x240 and drop the audio/video bitrates down i find the resulting sizes are OK, iirc I got Superman Doomsday down to 450mb give er take a few. |

Re: HOw to put movies on our phone???
As for encoding I would suggest PocketDivxEncoder ( http://www.pocketdivxencoder.net/ ) and load any of the devices with 320x240 res. And modify the settings there.
For playing TheCore player is pretty good as it can play better with the chipset, but I am not sure of it's support for divx, etc. Look into that, or I would suggest TCPMP. |

Re: HOw to put movies on our phone???
What encoding is best on battery life? I see in the manual the HTC Vogue should play 10hours of WMV or something like that..
I have encoded Rambo IV down from 700mb (xvid) to 177MB (mp4 aac audio 300x240 15fps). I watched a 1.5hr movie (no country for old men) and it took battery from 90% down to 20% Soo what encoding gives you best battery life? |
