Exactly. That means the data connection is still in passive mode. This will drain your battery, though not as fast as a persistent connection.
I am not using Seven, or anything else that will use the data connection and I do not have any arrows. |

With Windows Live I always have the arrows. Grey means the connection is idle and white means the connection is active. They shouldn't be white all the time.

wow, it's almost 3pm & I'm still @ 80%.
I have Outlook push & 3 pop3 accounts that check every 30min....couple of phone calls, couple dozen texts.

When you truly aren't doing anything, there will be no arrows. Instead you will have a different icon representing cell strength.
Needless to say, when you see arrows, your battery is draining faster. |
