Re: sprint email compared to windows live push?
Its not Sprint seven, Sprint's version (made by seven) allows for one non-html + no attachment push email. Its far more limited compared to the main one.
Seven's beta mobile mail app allows for HTML/attachments & more email accounts You can get that one here... http://community.seven.com/forum/main.php BTW I had no luck getting it from the PDAphone(Mogul) so you might wanna email the file to yourself. Texting it to myself did work either... |

Re: sprint email compared to windows live push?
Can't speak for MSN but I use the Beta with Yahoo and it works quite well. I've tested it and it is as close to real time as you can imagine. I can view HTML emails (thank god!) and attachments with no worries. It ties in to WM 6.1 very well, it just shows up under Messaging. It can also sync contacts as well but I wasn't impressed with that, I got a lot of weird characters in the ones it tried to sync so I'll hold off on that for now. I haven't noticed any battery life differences either.

Re: sprint email compared to windows live push?
I was the original poster on seven about 2 weeks ago. seven is real time email and i use it right now for 4 email accounts. seven is the actual company that makes the sprint software but seven actually works. from the time i send email on my laptop to the time i get it on my phone is about 4-8 seconds Now thats push!!! i am no way affiliated with seven just an avid aprrciative user. Its nice to have software that actually does what its suppose to do.

Re: sprint email compared to windows live push?
this is sweet...the only thing is hotmail cant receive pics unless they are sent as attachments. but i think the original live is the same thing. hopefully this saves some battery life. has anyone came across any bugs or issues yet?

Re: sprint email compared to windows live push?
Hmm, the 1st time I installed it downloaded all of my mail for gmail, so I added Yahoo as well and soon after that it wiped my inbox clean (both GMail & Yahoo!) for no reason.
Very foul language few from my mouth at the sight of it finishing off my Yahoo inbox 1 by 1, right before my eyes. GMail was clean by the time I saw. It happened once I changed a setting so to be safe besides the initial setup options to change the # of Days & ##KB size of the messages, I don't edit the settings after the initial setup. *BTW it only deleted "DEVICE" messages, not server end.. So yes I did get those msgs back. Last edited by Genjinaro; 02-23-2008 at 10:00 PM. |

Re: sprint email compared to windows live push?
Man so far it's working like a top. NO trouble setting up, accounts went right in, mail pushes straight out...
Very easy so far...looks good... |

Re: sprint email compared to windows live push?
Before I install the Seven beta program, do I need to uninstall the Sprint email program first? I have spb backup, so I'm assuming I would just do a full backup should I want to restore the Sprint app later. Is that correct?
