Yes, uninstall it and don't look back, the real one is far better than the Sprint version.

Interesting timing on this for me. I was out today and listening to my music and of course had it on airplane mode to avoid skipping but when i turned it back on I got none of the emails that were in my yahoo account. I couldnt even open the app. I figured it was because i didnt get any. I even tried a soft reset.

I'm still going to back up though ;p

Re: sprint email compared to windows live push?

Seven won't sync contacts like the Windows Live does will it? I like Windows Live for that feature, and HTML mail, but I don't like how much it seems to drain the battery even if I'm not getting any emails.

Re: sprint email compared to windows live push?

It'll ask you if you want to...

BTW Windows Live is pretty light, not sure how much lighter versus Seven but anything else will call for even more battery power, esp if its pushing via AS or per # or minutes.

WL will only drain if it is synchronizing setting and contacts or if Messenger is open
Since seven only does it after a soft reset which is a little better on the battery but with features killed, WL will win against everyone in the battery dept.

Overall use though, Seven is better...

Re: sprint email compared to windows live push?

Seven takes quite a hit on your battery, approximately 30%.

I'm waiting to see what they offer in the line of MMS push email, as not to waste battery.

Re: sprint email compared to windows live push?

I use mail2web personal exchange ($5/mo) with win active sync push and I really don't have a large battery drain. I use phone weaver to make profiles, one of which is a "battery save" profile which auto turns off the push/sync and disconnects data.

Re: sprint email compared to windows live push?

For clarification, Seven needs to be running on a desktop for the push to work, correct?

Re: sprint email compared to windows live push?

Average drain is 30%, straight from the horse's mouth.

I might allow myself to use it, if I only lost 30%, but I work on the "ground" floor of an office building, its practically a bunker.... so I loose a lot of battery from roaming/searching for signal.
