Re: Help me please. I love my phone...but...arghhh
i believe your custom ringtones are supposed to go into your ringtones folder that is under My Documents. Then you can assign specific ringtones to people using your contact manager. That's what i do.
Also, try changing the rintone through phone settings instead of through sounds and notifications and see if that helps. Last edited by impulse; 02-23-2008 at 08:50 AM. |

Put your ring tones in your Windows -Rrings folder.
Use your file exsplorer and go to "My Device - Windows - Rings" and drop them in there. Then go to your phone settings and change them from there under Sounds and Notifications.

Re: Help me please. I love my phone...but...arghhh
impulse I've tried that already. I'll set my ringtones to custom one's for my texts and incoming calls. And my ringtone for incoming calls will be fine...but as soon as I get a text...my phone reverts back to the stupid factor settings. i've tried deleting some of the factory ringtones....but 3 of them won't go away. and i can't delete them from "Windows"

Re: Help me please. I love my phone...but...arghhh
Have you tried, as dicussed many times before, placing the MP3 files for the SMS, e-mail, and voice mail alerts, in the \Windows root directory?
That's how I have them working.

if i am not mistaken, only ringtones can be mp3's text notifications and alerts need to be wav's.
Also, for alerts, txt etc, then need to be in the windows dir. -deck |
