A2DP quality

I have had no luck thus far through my various forum searches... So...
Im trying to use a bluetooth reciever that I have for my car stereo. The supplied transmitter works great, crystal clear audio quality. But when I use it with my phone the audio quality is crap. There is distortion and little tiny skips in the audio. If I turn the volume down on the phone the distortion is not as bad, but still very present. To turn the volume down to the point where the quality is almost bearable, its too quiet to hear with my stereo CRANKED. We have ruled out that its the reciever by testing other bluetooth devices (transmitters, laptops etc) and they are all clear. I have read of others having issues like this. Anyone know of a fix for this?
Thanks!

Re: A2DP quality

there are some registry tweaks out there that can improve the A2DP performance on the phone.

Here the thread. Post #6.

Re: A2DP quality

My Mogul and my wife's Touch both sound great streaming to my carPC, no tweaks needed. Just to be clear, you are enabling A2DP from your phone right? Otherwise most devices will default to headset/handsfree mode.

Also using my Touch with bluetooth car stereo adapter and have clear sound, no tweaks.
"you are enabling A2DP from your phone right? Otherwise most devices will default to headset/handsfree mode. " posted by bedoig. When pairing with the touch make sure it recognizes it as a wireless device as well as headset, both boxes checked!

Re: A2DP quality

I'd try deleting the partnership and trying again. Sometimes it works...

Re: A2DP quality

Well you've got me. The only other thing I'd try is another clean pairing (with some kind of master reset of the receiver if possbile), and only enabling stereo bluetooth, not the headset/handsfree profiles. Also, *cringes* try reading the instruction manual (if you haven't already) to see if there is some weird setup procedure your receiver requires.

Re: A2DP quality

setup procedure, according to the instructions, is same as everything else. pair...use... passkey is 0000
ive unplugged the scosche reciever from 12v power and reconnected it. re-paired... to no avail.
hard reset on the phone... issue persists
yet, i can use 3 other bluetooth devices and it works great, crystal clear
