Optional-ized OEM folder?

Does anyone have a OEM folder that has been packaged completely? Since we have had a slight burst in development, I was curious to see if anyone has started this lovely project

I don't fully understand the question. Are you talking about a complete collection of OEM's on the FTP?

No... you know how you have multiple programs located in the OEMAPPS folder?

Optional-izing the OEM folder means that you seperate each apps into its own folder so it could be disabled in buildos. An example would be seperating Java, Camera, TouchFlo into its own folders.

Does that help or does it still sound like I'm crazy? lol

'Scuze' me. I need to ask a real 101 level question. What is an OEM folder and what type of files are contained in it? Do you just drag it over via active syncn, or is there an installation process of some sort involved. I'm assuming that OEM means stuff that makes a sprint phone as sprint phone.

I'm trying desparately to get Windows Live Mobile back on my phone after the latest 6.1 107.3 flash. I've managed to get Live Search but no Messenger and Live Mobile. Microsoft's site is of no value what so ever!

Thanks for any help

The OEM folder is a necessary folder within a rom kitchen. It isn't something you can just AS over to a phone.

I'm sure that there is a Live Mobile CAB somewhere, you might want to search XDA or here.

ok, I understand....no, that hadn't crossed my mind as I don't know of anything I would remove in BuildOS....but I like the idea for organizing!

btw....question about BuildOS....I know in the Apache Kitchen, you would check the items you wanted in the ROM, unchecked would not be......Is this also the case w/ our Touch Kitchen (i'm using Dogguys)...reason I ask, I could have sworn in some of my earlier ROM's I did not check all apps, but they were still in the ROM. I usually just make a habit of setting the option.xml to "true" for all apps I want in.

Yeah... it would actually help all of us (I would think) when it comes to making an official ROM for our phone.

So far, I haven't had an issue of BuildOS installing stuff when it is unchecked. Lately, I have been having to disable my MMS package due to a CDMA_API.dll issue. I can search high and low and can only find the one within my package. Once I uncheck it... everything is golden.

I do the same thing by setting pretty much everyting to auto-check.

Oh I believe you mrgeoff, but I've spent the last 1.5 hours searching both forums, not to mention microsoft's site and I can't find it anywhere. I've used Google, Yahoo, and Live Search, and the only thing I can come up with is the update to the Live Search cab. Well I got that,... everyone has that. What I'm looking for is the Windows Live and Live Messenger that comes with the stock Sprint Touch. I had the Live Search search field and the Windows Live email & contact window set up on the Today Screen. Trying real hard to get that back.

Looks like the kitchen is where the roms are cooked,.... makes sense. I'm beginning my reading on that now.

If you know where I can find the Windows Live cab(s), I'd sure appreciate a pointing finger! Thanks!

Sorry dude. I don't use any of that, so I don't have a clue. If I wasn't so swamped on a project, I would help plunder around.

Here's the illusive Windows Live cabinet

I found this on Dutty's site Dutty's Universe. All credit to Dutty, I'm just a messanger.
