is it possible to add another slab to the macflo? I have bbsupernova and one more slab for programs would be perfect. thanks!

Re: Introducing MacFlo & MacFlo Big Button!

It is possible, but you'd have to do it through Registry edits and file changes.

First of all, copy CustAPLauncher.exe in your Windows folder and paste it as CustAPLauncher4.exe

In HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\HTC\Biotouch\Biotouch change:

TotalCubes to 6

Add a String Value App6 with a value "APLauncher \Windows\CustAPLauncher4.exe"

Copy the value for Cube1 and create a Binary value called Cube6. Paste the value from Cube1 into Cube6

In HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\HTC\Biotouch create:

Create a Key "CustAPLauncher4"

In that key create a String value "Background" with a valid BRN path, and Keys App0 - App8

In each of those Keys create:

DWord - Height
String - IconPath
String - IconPressPath
String - Name
String - Param
String - Path
DWord - Type
DWord - Width
DWord - xPos
DWord - yPos

Fill in those Values based on the other App values

Soft reset and that should do it.

thanks MM. After posting the question I found your thread on CDMA-How-to: Cube edits, etc. with the how to on adding sides. Between those instructions and this step by step, I can't go wrong. Much appreciated!!

I spoke a little too soon; I need a little help. I'm getting a sixth slab, but it doesn't show any of the icons that assigned, and with the slabs lined up, it really looks like there's only 5 slabs. Also, only five dots across the top. Plus once I rotate to the blank slab, everything freezes. Four questions - (1) what is the correct number for CustAPLaucher4.exe under the first Biotouch folder, (2) what is the handle for CustAPLauncher4, (3) do I need to create a F0.brn for the background, and (4) do I need to create any other paths or anything else? Any help is greatly appreciated!!

Re: Introducing MacFlo & MacFlo Big Button!

Sounds like it needs a Background.

HKLM>Software>Biotouch>CustAPLauncher4>Background = \Windows\Mac\Anim\A0.brn

Handle is created at runtime by the Biotouch.exe

Again, make sure you create a string value called App6 in HKLM>Software>HTC>Biotouch>Biotouch and its value has to be:

APLauncher \Windows\CustAPLauncher4.exe (space after the first "APLauncher")

I now have the sixth slab; stupid on my part - forgot to add the extra .exe file to \Windows. Is it possible to make the image across the top have six dots? Any chance of modifying MacFlo Maker to accommodate the number of slabs actually present? Thanks again!

Re: Introducing MacFlo & MacFlo Big Button!

Musicman,

This is just fabulous. I am just getting in on the cube revolution and am very excited to try yours. I am a XV6800. Will this run on a 6800? Second have you thought about making a VZW theme? I would be happy to help in any way I can. Got lots of time on my hands these days due to being laid off from work. I literally sent my wife to Florida last Sat so I could spend quality time with my 6800....whew what a device. Lastly is there GPS in this cube for the 6800?

Steve

Today Information

One question for the collective:

I do not use the HTC Today plugin due to the resources it takes. I have opted for the plugins to get that information, and it seems to be going well. Is anyone else doing what I am doing, and are you creating a slab dedicated to these plugins and info.

Thanks,
Steve

Hey Steve. I also don't use the HTC Today plugin; I now have six slabs using MacFlo BBSupernova. MacFlo would not run right on the 6700; I use it on my 6900 and have five slabs of programs/website links, and the contacts slab.
