has anyone found awork around to the 2d/3d neglect issue to get a better picture from slingbox or other playback

Slingbox: No.
Other streaming video: Use TCPMP in mode other than DirectDraw.

That sucks... I just got a slingbox and was really pumped to use the mobile feature.

thanks i figured that was the answer i am going to return the slingbox this weekend as far as orb goes with tcpmp how did you get it to open file even when all file types selected it opens but i get two errors stating it cannot play that file type

FWIW, the issues were dramatically improved with the leaked rom for the mogul.... since the touch is essentially on the same chipset, it makes me wonder if maybe there will be something coming out soon for that device as well?

i am sure it is in the works but i heard the new slingbox is going to have a built in dvr with no subscription fee so i will return the pro wait for updated drivers on the ouch and then buy the new slingbox

I use Slingplayer Mobile on my Touch all the time. I have the Slingbox Solo. I think the video is acceptable for a cell phone. I didn't realize the Touch suffered from the same problem as the Mogul.

i have a slingbox tuner and a touch. ive never noticed a problem with the video or quality. i can even read the ticker on the espn that they run on the bottom of the screen.
