The reception on the touch has some issues. Comming from motorola phones and making a tough decision to switch knowing that motorola has superb call quality and powerful rf, I really miss it.
The biggest ISSUE is if I want to clench the phone between my ear and shoulder the other party will not be able to hear me, and possibly the call will drop. This is clearly a flaw in HTC build QUALITY/ANTENNA/RF in the touch. Also in my appartment in san diego I see that the phone will go in and out of roaming and evdo sprint. I know that motorola is top dog when it comes to rf quality, and i wish htc could match their specs. I had similar issues with the mogul (maybe even worse). I love the phone but suffers from lack of being the best as far as RF comes. |

In my experience, the reception of the Touch hasn't been all that great. I wouldn't say it's horrible, but indoors, driving, etc. It's coverage isn't as good as the HTC mogul I had.
It also streams less efficiently than the Mogul in the exact same coverage areas. I'm not an expert, but I'm sure that the size difference might result in a sacrifice in size of internal antena? Either way, I agree the reception isn't the best I ever had (not the worst either). |
