Question Lock/disable Touch Screen while in call

Is it possible to disable the touch screen while on a call? I had a touch screen in the past that did this, don't remember if it was the Palm or Windows one though.

I find it very annoying as sometimes when I get off the phone, I have a bunch of applications opened, or I have even closed out the phone on accident.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,

-Derek

After you answer the call, hit the power button. That'll disable the screen.
Check the KeyLock System Setting also. Locks all the hard keys except the power button.

Hope that works for you.

Slide 2 Unlock 2 has an option to turn off the screen for you once you're connected. It's a great feature (except when checking voicemail!).

I was using a different slide to unlock program, as it was the first one I found on a google. search. It was like Slide To Unlock Pro I think, which I didn't care for.

I switched to the .96 one from XDA forums, and it does great. It does exactly what I want, blacking the screen while on call and waking back up when call ends.

that would be one of the palm's extra tweeks that they do. they did it to the palm OS and the windows OS. anyone who has not had a wm treo don't know how good it was. i cant wait for the treo 800w to add to my collection.

anyhow, if you dont like slide to unlock there are two others that i have used. 1 is phonealarm. phone alarm has this as one of it's many settings. there is also phonescreenlock found here... http://www.palmarysoft.com/products/wm/psl/overview/

slide 2 unlock is the only free one. that's is why i went back to the old power button trick. i did like phonescreen lock. it has a free trial. worth a look.

Anyone found any rom extraction of this extra feature found on treos? My ear works better than my finger as a stylus...
