that would be one of the palm's extra tweeks that they do. they did it to the palm OS and the windows OS. anyone who has not had a wm treo don't know how good it was. i cant wait for the treo 800w to add to my collection.

anyhow, if you dont like slide to unlock there are two others that i have used. 1 is phonealarm. phone alarm has this as one of it's many settings. there is also phonescreenlock found here... http://www.palmarysoft.com/products/wm/psl/overview/

slide 2 unlock is the only free one. that's is why i went back to the old power button trick. i did like phonescreen lock. it has a free trial. worth a look.
