OF THE PHONE...
as for that fix i posted...
A: it fixes caller announcements, which work on the mogul and the touch...
B: On the mogul it fixed the bluetooth headset issues, I dont have a headset currently
to test it with the touch...
C: I know its for the apache, but it still worked on the mogul and seems to work on the touch (at least caller announcements work on the touch)

Sorry your opening topic was confusing.
If I Hard Reset my Sprint HTC Touch and install my purcahsed copy of Voice Command 1.6 It works PERFECTLY on the HANDSET. Worked perfectly on Mogul too. VC CONFIRMATION Volume will blast your ear if you're not careful and confirmations work. Except for announcing caller ID, which is fixed by a patch floating around (I think included in vc_fix.zip). Once patched I'm running v1.6.17913 and VC works 100% on the handset. Many folk are running like this on touch and mogul.
By the way VC command announces on the REAR speaker of the phone for confirmation and caller ID (not the ear piece). Make sure you have the "PDA" speaker turned up and it's not piping to your BT Headset. I make sure ALL my VC settings are set to DEVICE SPEAKER. Namely Start -> Settings -> Voice Command -> Select Phone in List -> Click Notifications -> Announce notification through device speaker. VC Confirmation is not normally available over the ear piece as far as I know for any phone or version. Perhaps a hack existed to force it over the ear piece (small holes in front of phone) and that's what you're after?
VC over BT is another story as I assume you know. But the HANDSET (rear speaker) should work fine.
