Live Search Update Problem

My touch had the old (non-speech enabled) version of Live Search and the "client update available" option was greyed out and not selectable. But I had the cab file for the latest version of Live Search so I ran that, and installed it to device (it unistalled the old version first).

I can run the updated version now, but the link from the Today screen is broken. When I select the Live Search icon (between the Camera Album and Sprint TV) I get the following error:

The file 'Live Search.exe' cannot be opened. Either it is not signed with a trusted certificate, or one of its components could not be found. If the problem persists, try reinstalling or restoring this file.

What did I do wrong, or how can I fix the link? TIA

(I searched but was not able to find references to this problem)

I found the answer. The link information for the HTC Home Sprint plug in is contained in two .xml documents in the \Windows folder; ql_skin_p.xml and ql_skin_l.xml (for portrait and landscape).

Edit the appropriate line in these documents, the path and the executable name for Live Search was incorrect after the update and needs to be changed.

I made the changes directly using Total Commander and pointed right to the LiveSearch.exe, or you can use the method in this post: http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=11931
