Does Touch wake up randomly on its own like the Mogul?

I am getting a Touch in replacement for mogul. Mogul wakes up on its own a lot in my house so was just wondering if Touch did the same thing.

Mine wakes up randomly. Data connection isn't active and when I look at the screen it doesn't appear to be doing anything.

Yes, my Touch sometimes wakes up randomly. However, in my personal experience, it only happens driving. Alternatively, maybe I only notice it while driving because the phone is laying in front of me and not in my pocket.

It will wake up when switching from EVDO to 1X or vice versa. It will also wake up when receiving a text message (because of the band change).

I hope this might be of help.

I've never really noticed this problem. Mine is set to 1x only right now so it doesnt switch bands and even if if did wake up, my slide2unlock would turn the phone back off in 15secs

Edit: Also, my internet connection is set to 'always on'

yep, it always wakes up when switching between EVDO and 1X.

Thanks to Sprint screwing with the towers in my area, I don't get crap for battery life whenever I'm at home because it CONSTANTLY switches between the two...

Thats why I set mine 1x only when I'm home. Its always gets a stronger signal than Evdo in this area
