Guess my question is, does/would Sprint be willing to give me any discounts on the Touch to keep me from "defecting" to ATT? Has anyone had any experience with them doing this? I haven't had any problems with Sprints service, but I found out that through my union, I can get a pretty good discount with ATT. That, and the iPhone has me thinking about jumping ship. Thanks!

sure the iPhone has a bigger screen, BUT with the touch, you're moving 2 steps forward... and as for the iPhone, you'll be doing nothing but taking 5 steps back. if you wanna go to at&t, then i would gladly recommend you to the tilt. even though it's a pocket pc, it does have a bevy of sh!t you could do just like any other and then some. here's the keyword that no one would ever argue with... BROADBAND... iPhone doesn't even support HSDPA, so what good is it for you and everyone else who's power hungry?

i'm a complete noob when it comes to this stuff, but here's my 2cents..

despite the name "htc touch" or "sprint touch" the phone (to me) FEEEEELS like it was meant for a stylus. sure, they made the icons/buttons finger friendly and everything- but it just FEEEELS to me like it's LETTING me touch it, but not neccessarily that it was meant for that. for instance when you finger flick your contacts- i'm not sure about anybody else- but i've accidentally called whoever my thumb happened to land on a couple of times!! on the iphone, when i scroll through contacts- it just seems to me that it is fully aware of what i'm trying to do. the phone just feels SMARTER to me in regards to 'touching' it. i love my touch, but not as much as i love my sprint contract. if it wasn't for that, i'd rather have an iphone. word, excel, direct push e-mail on a cell phone without buttons just doesn't give me a chubby just my opinion. cheers.

Agree a lot with this. Both phones excel in certain places, lag behind in others, and are either equal or unusable still in more.

It really comes down to what you're hoping to use it for the most. I think few reasonable people would say that the Touch is hands down better than the iphone all around. People just have issues with saying that the iPhone is hands down better than the Touch in almost every aspect

slingbox isnt supported with the iphone so touch FTW!

right now, iphone is still limited in many ways, internet speed, apps, customization, etc.
a windows mobile phone is far superior in my opinion. visually and physically designed the iphone wins.

I've always disliked apple, and I currently own a touch after replacing my mogul. My coworker has an iPhone and it completely bests my touch in almost every way. I didnt see much of an issue with slow internet either, and the browser crushes anything available for PPC. Only downside is we can't get our corporate email on the iPhone, but i guess you can route it through gmail. If I had to do it again, there is no way I would take a touch over an iPhone, even though the iPhone costs significantly more. Its better built, faster, looks better, is more intuitive, and you dont have to call sprint every month because your bill is screwed up. Until google releases their mobile OS I dont think anything on the market competes with the iPhone. Hate to say it, but apple nailed this.

Some of you guys just destroy all objectivity becuase you love something or hate it.

Both are great devices with a few flaws and limitations, so why the need to bash either one. I would gladly take an Iphone but would never buy one myself.

The touch is way better for me for many reasons but I don't come on here and rag on the Iphone, it's still a great device also.

In case you haven't noticed K, Hippity is so anti WM he can't think straight. No objectivity.
It's ridiculous take a look at his threads on all the different forums.

I do agree the Iphone will crush the Touch....after all it's Twice as big, Twice as Heavy, and Twice as Slow. j/k

Watch out. The myopic fanboys around here will jump on you for liking anything better than what they spent money on. LOL

You argue meaningless semantics over a word "almost" and call me a fanboy, read my posts Genius, I'm not a fanboy of ANY phone.

Get a Brain, YOU are the hater/fanboy here speading your warped opinion regardless of the facts.

Eagerly awaiting your next intelligent reply, or should I say your first.

Guys! Have you tried Windows 3.1? Man, it runs a WHOLE LOT FASTER than WinXP OR Vista!!!

Sorry, couldn't resist after klurf's comment.

You know if I keep having problems with my Touch, I might just get the 3G iPhone next year...... I'm really sick of the problems inherent with HTC/WM devices.
