Is there a way to kill the blinking lights?

- Blinking blue for BlueTooth when enabled.
- Solid Red (orange?) for voicemail.

That way, I can leave my Touch on vibrate or silent - and glance at it to quickly know if I have something that needs attention.

You can do all of those on the Touch except the solid color LED for voicemail. At least I haven't found a way to do the solid LED yet.

Start > Settings > Personal Tab > Sounds & Notifications > Notifications Tab:

Then just use the Event Dropdown to select how you want the Sounds, Message Display, Light Flash and Vibrate to react to each setting. I dont believe we have a stay on solid option which would be nice but you can edit how it reacts to different events all the same.

i tried treo alerts and it didn't affect my LED's whatsoever...

You did something wrong then. It works perfectly on the Touch. Be aware that it can only blink the orange LED for alerts. If you had it set wrong, it won't do anything.
